Fixer & Local Producer in Poland

My name is Dawid Krawczyk. I’m a fixer and local producer based in Poland, working with international journalists and production teams.

I’ve worked on a wide range of stories, from social reporting - including poverty, homelessness, and the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic - to political and international coverage requiring access to government representatives, ministers, ambassadors, MPs and MEPs.

I regularly support teams looking for both grassroots voices and institutional perspectives. I’ve collaborated with international crews on stories related to the war in Ukraine, defence and security, international relations, and election campaigns.

Coming from a background in long-form journalism and non-fiction writing, I’m used to working across formats and under editorial pressure, helping teams navigate complex topics, secure the right interviews, and keep reporting grounded in local context.

I’ve worked with international outlets including BBCNPR, SBS AustraliaEuronews, Al Jazeera English, DR, and Channel 4.

I work as a journalist in Poland. Over the years, my reporting has appeared in some of the country’s leading national newspapers and magazines, including Gazeta Wyborcza, VOGUE Polska, Tygodnik POLITYKATygodnik Powszechny. I’ve written and co-written several non-fiction books commissioned by leading Polish publishing houses, often in close collaboration with editors and subject-matter experts. I’m trained as an English translator, which shapes how I work with language in the field, carefully, precisely, and with attention to nuance.

My role is to make reporting in Poland and the region clearer, safer, and more grounded in reality. If you’re planning a story here and need a reliable fixer or local producer, feel free to get in touch: via email djk@dawidkrawczyk.com or WhatsApp +48531708626.
